Members have access to a full complement of work out equipment and a variety of drop-in classes. Fitness professionals are available to evaluate individual fitness, develop specific goals and create personalized training plans. Additionally a well-curated library of on-line fitness instructional videos and wellness seminars are in development.
Golf Fitness – Students will strengthen key muscles groups, improve overall tone and perform regular cardio workouts to support a long-lasting and healthy golf game. Tuesday & Thursday Mornings, 7:00 – 8:15. $20 per class.
Mobility Matters – Designed for all members which to improve balance and strength. Tuesday & Thursday Mornings, 10:00 – 11 :15.$20 per class.
Group Exercise Circuit – This multi-platform class will include cardio, strength and flexibility training while incorporating spin, Pilates, TRX and yoga elements. Class offered twice per week Fall, 2017. Complimentary to members.
Walking Group – All fitness levels can enjoy the beautiful Presidio surroundings on these guided, weekly 45 minutes walks. Class offered Wednesday at 4:30 daylight savings time, 3:30 standard time. Complimentary to members and guests.
Wellness Seminar – Attendees will learn about current trends and best practices on a variety of health and wellness topics including nutrition, bone health, posture, and heart health. Class offered once per month. Complimentary to members and guests.
Personal Training - Members can experience one-on-one training with our certified professional trainers. This offer is for those who are seeking specialized training for weight loss and weight management, strength and endurance training, injury prevention, or sports-specific athletic training. Sessions available on weekly or monthly basis. Training cost may vary.
Individual assessment, goal-setting and personal training are available with the following instructors on an appointment basis. Fees are in addition to regular club dues.
Ashley Wood, PGCC Director of Golf & Fitness, PGA – Ashley Wood is a tenured group and individual fitness coach with a Masters in Kinesiology. As an assistant division 1 golf coach and adjunct professor, she has TPI certification and is focused on physical strength and stability for students of all ages and abilities.
Dr. Chris Thompson, TPI Certified Instructor - Dr. Christian Thompson has taught golf-specific fitness classes at the Presidio Golf & Concordia Club, Mobility Matters classes throughout the city, is a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at USF and is an internationally recognized leader in senior fitness and falls prevention.
Ryan Greiner - Ryan Grenier has over 20 years of fitness training experience, specializing in senior populations. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. He is licensed with World Kettle Bell Club (W.K.C.). He is certified in Functional Movement Screening (F.M.S.), Pre/Post Natal, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.), and Total Body Weight Training (T.R.X.).
